My Father’s Arrows (Florida) serves boys and girls ages from birth to 17, who are in crisis due to trauma, instability, loss, abuse, neglect, abandonment, adoption disruption, foster care challenges, attachment wounds, or significant family hardship. This is not a traditional boarding school for students who simply need structure or academic improvement. It is a trauma-informed children’s home for vulnerable children whose emotional, behavioral, relational, or developmental struggles require a deeper level of care, consistency, and restoration.

Children who come to My Father’s Arrows are struggling with issues such as defiance, rebellion, anger, anxiety, emotional outbursts, academic failure, mistrust of adults, attachment difficulties, lying, manipulation, withdrawal, poor boundaries, low self-worth, grief, fear, or an inability to respond well to normal parenting approaches. These behaviors are often rooted in early trauma, disrupted relationships, repeated loss, or environments where the child did not experience the safety, stability, and nurture needed for healthy development.

For parents and legal guardians, these challenges can be overwhelming. Families may love their child deeply but feel exhausted, confused, discouraged, or unsure how to help. My Father’s Arrows provides a compassionate residential option where children can step into a safe, structured, family-style environment designed to give them structure and help them begin healing, rebuild trust, and grow toward stability.

Choosing residential care for a child, even and adopted child, is never easy. It often comes after years of prayer, effort, counseling, conflict, grief, and concern for the child’s future. My Father’s Arrows understands the weight of that decision and walks with families in a spirit of compassion, not judgment.

The goal is not to give up on a child, but to give that child the stability, structure, supervision, and specialized care needed to begin moving toward healing. Children are surrounded by consistent adults, predictable routines, healthy boundaries, spiritual guidance, educational support, and nurturing relationships that help them feel safe enough to stop acting out and grow in character and healthy relationships.

Healing Through Ranch Life, Animals, and Healthy Routine

Located on 288 rural acres in Jay, Florida, the My Father’s Arrows ranch is an important part of the healing environment. The property includes the Children’s Home, school, farm, gardens, and animal areas, giving children space to experience fresh air, responsibility, recreation, and the calming rhythms of daily life.

The ranch is specifically set up for friendly and therapeutic interaction with horses, goats, chickens, sheep, gardens, and a friendly service dog named Coco. Animals and outdoor activities help bring comfort, connection, joy, and responsibility to children whose hearts have been hurt. Daily life on the ranch encourages healthy routines, practical life skills, physical activity, meaningful work, and opportunities to experience success.

A Trauma-Informed, Christian Model of Care

The My Father’s Arrows children’s home provides 24-hour supervision, high structure, and low relational pressure for children in crisis who have been deeply affected by past trauma. My Father’s Arrows uses the TBRI (rust-Based Relational Intervention) model, focusing on meeting the needs behind behaviors while providing consistent correction rooted in Christian values.

This approach helps children learn self-control, responsibility, trust, healthy communication, respect for authority, and better ways to relate to adults and peers. Care is provided in a calm, family-style residential farmstead setting where the world becomes smaller, safer, and more manageable for children who have often lived through instability, fear, or loss.

Education Designed for Children Who Need Extra Support

Children at My Father’s Arrows attend its on-campus year-round trauma-informed school, designed to meet each child’s individual academic needs and learning style. Each child receives an entrance evaluation to determine current academic levels, and staff work with students at their own pace to rebuild confidence and help them succeed.

Because emotional and behavioral struggles can make traditional learning difficult, the school environment allows children to process frustration, take needed breaks, move while learning, and receive one-on-one support. The goal is not only academic progress, but also renewed confidence, perseverance, and a belief that learning is possible.

How Children are Helped

During their time at My Father’s Arrows, children are supported as they grow in felt safety, self-control, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, respect for authority, healthy boundaries, life skills, educational confidence, understanding choices and consequences, and positive character development.

The program also focuses on spiritual growth, emotional healing, family restoration when possible, and preparation for a healthier future. For some children, the goal may be reunification with family when it is safe and appropriate. For others, it may be preparation for adoption, long-term stability, or independence as an equipped young adult.

A Family-Rooted Ministry with Experienced Leadership

My Father’s Arrows was established in 2014 by founders with decades of combined experience as foster-adoptive parents and in service to children with special needs. Their vision grew from firsthand awareness that trauma, placement instability, lack of lasting connection, and insufficient support can deeply affect a child’s school performance, behavior, relationships, and future.

Today, My Father’s Arrows continues that mission through a dedicated team committed to protecting, nurturing, educating, and guiding children with compassion and truth. The ministry is a nonprofit charity registered with The Florida Association of Christian Child Caring Agencies as a Type II child-caring agency under Florida Statute 409.176.
